Soupfest 2018  "Souper Service Groups"

An early season snow storm reared its ugly head on November 15, 2018. With no snow date planned, the Soupfest committee did a lot of praying and went ahead with the plans. "The thought that kept going through our heads was, the homeless can't cancel their situation because of a snowstorm," said Soupfest chairman Tom Stauffer. So onward they went.

Approximately 160 people braved the weather and attended with an amazing amount of support and generosity. Donations were still coming in weeks after the event. This generosity was truly amazing and appreciated.

Four amazing service groups worked diligently at their soups: The Vernon Knights of Columbus Council #1422, Vernon-Rockville Lion's Club, Exchange Club of Rockville and Vernon CERT.

With the hard word of the Soupfest Committee, the delicious soups and generosity of the community, Soupfest 2018 was an overwhelming success and collected much needed funds to help sustain Cornerstone's ministries.

Thank you and God Bless!
