We are entering the hazy, lazy, crazy days of summer

As Nat King Cole sang, we are entering the hazy, lazy, crazy days of summer. For most of us that means vacations, family trips, or a summer of fun. Here at Cornerstone we are seeing increased numbers of families coming to our Community Kitchen, Food Cupboard and Clothing Bank. Our shelters are full of families and youth trying to get housing. We are so fortunate that we have so many dedicated volunteers and donors who give us their time, necessary goods, and financial support so we can keep operating and providing a much needed helping hand.

If you received our latest appeal letter or email and you sent in a donation to express your belief in our mission, let me express our gratitude for your generosity. If you’ve haven’t had a chance to send in your support, would you consider doing so now? Unfortunately the end of COVID funding is also the end of some significant revenue streams that many of us in the non-profit realm have relied upon to make ends meet. We are looking for all other possible funders but we need our regular donor’s support as well.

I hope you have a wonderful summer and that you can consider helping our struggling neighbors have one too!
