Volunteer Coordinator Weekdays, 10 hrs per week (Flexible) We are looking for a person to commit to helping with managing our volunteers. This will include evaluating new volunteer applications, giving tours, and connecting volunteers with the various needs in our different ministries. This is a big role, but very important to what we do here at Cornerstone!
Building Maintenance Weekdays, 5-10 Hrs per week (flexible) We are looking for 2-4 people to join our maintenance team here at Cornerstone. These individuals will complete or coordinate tasks such as carpentry, drywall, painting, building upgrades, basic plumbing/HVAC/electrical, coordinate with vendors, etc. to help maintain our buildings, grounds, and equipment. Our goal is to build a team of volunteers that can share this responsibility together so our buildings and grounds can be maintained well without putting this task all on one person.
Food Cupboard Help Mondays & Fridays, 9 AM - 1 PM every week. Join our team at the Food Cupboard, ready to lend a helping hand. We are really looking for someone who is quick to learn and can commit to both Mondays and Fridays most weeks. Your role may involve tasks such as loading and unloading food from the van, sorting food items, packing bags, and any other duties essential to the smooth operation of our pantry. Your commitment will not only contribute to the efficient functioning of our food distribution efforts but also make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in our community who depend on our services.
Dishwasher Evenings 4 PM - 6 PM We are in need of multiple people to come help wash dishes at the Cornerstone Community Kitchen. This position will need to be filled at the times listed above which will be before, during, and after the meal that is being served. This person will be responsible for rinsing dishes and running them through the high heat sanitizer before stacking them for drying.
Kitchen Food Prep and Serve Tues./Thurs. 9 AM - 1 PM Mon./Fri. 1 PM - 4 PM The Community Kitchen is in need of volunteers who would be able to help with lunch or dinner meals. This person would be working with our cook staff and other volunteers to first prep/cook the meal and then serve to our guests. This is a client facing role that allows the volunteer to engage with the people we are blessed to serve.
