Here at Cornerstone, the time has come to make some changes in how we look at our long-term survival. While our donors are some of the most wonderful in the world, we cannot expect them to be able to sustain our operations. Therefore, we must concentrate more time going after grants and government funds to provide a consistent, reliable source of income for us to continue to meet the needs of our growing population of people needing help.
I am excited to be able to help Cornerstone in this endeavor by devoting more of my time to
researching, applying for, and hopefully securing additional sources of funds to support all the wonderful programs we currently have and to expand the opportunities we have to help others. I will still be out and about in the community working with some groups and donors to strengthen our partnerships.
Our Board has chosen Alexis Flint to be our new Programs and Operations Director so that the daily needs of the programs, marketing, and community collaborations will be in capable hands. Alexis has had a great role model in her father Bryan Flint, as well as deep ties to the community, that will serve Cornerstone well as we move forward. She has been with us for a while serving as our Communications Director so she is hitting the ground running… She has a big task ahead of her, but we know she is up to the job.
Peace & Blessings,
Sharon
