The Cornerstone Foundation operates three emergency shelters in the Vernon-Rockville area, offering supervised overnight lodging, laundry and shower facilities to up to 40 people each night (and up to 60 during winter months).

The Cornerstone Community Kitchen provides free, nutritious meals every day of the week to anyone in need—serving more than 40,000 meals each year in a welcoming, dignified environment.

The Clothing Bank  offers free clothing, household items, toys and books to residents of Vernon, Tolland and Ellington.

The Food Cupboard offers free non-perishable groceries to community members in need and operates on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 3 Prospect Street, Vernon (Rockville), CT.

Diaper Bank.jpg

The Diaper Bank distributes one package of diapers per child per month, every first Friday of the month (10 a.m.–6 p.m.), for children under age 3 in Tolland County towns including Vernon, Ellington, Coventry and others.

The Mobile Food Pantry program operates every other Thursday at St. Bernard Church in Vernon-Rockville, delivering fresh produce and other healthy food to community members.

The Outreach Program offers a variety of community-based services and activities, from youth mentoring and drop-in support to resource connection and seasonal events designed to build connection, stability, and hope.

A variety of community-driven gatherings throughout the year  from costume giveaways to soup tasting nights, open to all and designed to bring people together.
