At Cornerstone Community Kitchen, we are continually inspired by the kindness and generosity of our community partners. Today, we have two special expressions of gratitude to share with all of you.
A Hearty Thank You to South Windsor FedEx Ground
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 15th, the South Windsor FedEx Ground team made a heartwarming contribution of 227 bagged peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunches. These nutritious meals were not only served at our kitchen but also brightened the day for our shelter residents and allowed many of our patrons to take a little extra comfort home with them. We are immensely grateful for this thoughtful gesture that helped us spread joy and sustenance on a day that celebrates unity and service.
Gratitude for South Windsor Human Services
Our second heartfelt thank you goes to the South Windsor Human Services department for their generous donation of toys and healthcare items. During the colder months, as we support our Winter Warming clients and community residents, the need for toiletries often arises alongside the demand for food. Thanks to the kind-hearted folks at South Windsor Human Services, we have been able to meet these needs and give back to the community with a little extra care and comfort.
A Community of Caring Hearts
Organizations like FedEx Ground and South Windsor Human Services are invaluable partners in our mission. Their caring hearts and unwavering support enable us to provide more for those in need and make a tangible difference in our community.
As we look forward to the warmer weather and the blooming of flowers next month, our gratitude blooms as well for the many individuals and organizations that remember us and support our mission to assist others. This spirit of giving and helping is what we are called to do, and it is what makes our community so special.
Thank you to everyone who plays a part in making our work possible. Your kindness is the cornerstone of our success.
