Donations are a pivotal part of The Clothing Bank, Etc.

Updated: Apr 2

Cornerstone is very fortunate to be working with Walmart in Manchester, CT. We were put in touch with Jasmine and Enriketa from their claims department. They have been giving us donations of various items, such as clothing, housewares, garden, holiday and seasonal items that have been extremely helpful to pass on to our clients in need. It is a treat for our clients to get new things along with the gently used items we put out on our floor for them to take.

The items we pick up from Walmart are from their returns, after season items, left over stock, opened packages, etc. Their storage space is limited so they donate these items. We are so grateful that Cornerstone Clothing Bank, Etc. was included in the various organizations they chose to donate to.

Cornerstone also works with Stacey and Debbie at Opportunity Works in Rockville, who have been very helpful to our Cornerstone Clothing Bank, Etc. mission. They are a non-profit organization supporting individuals with intellectual, cognitive, and physical disabilities in Eastern CT. They get donations through various organizations as well as individuals. They can’t always use everything they are fortunate to get, so they share the wealth with others, and Cornerstone’s Clothing Bank, Etc. Is lucky enough to be one of their recipients.

They have been helpful by providing us with back to school supplies for our event, housewares, toys, holiday items, as well as clothing. They let us know when they have a collection ready to be picked up. It is the generosity from our community, stores, and a few other organizations sharing with us, that make our Clothing Bank Etc. a success in helping those in need.
